Frank Marshall

Frank Marshall

Born in Whishaw, Lanarkshire in 1878 Frank played for the local Athletic side before having an unsuccessful trial at Middlesbrough.

He came to Luton in December 1899 to become one of many centre-forwards tried out as the Town were drifting out of the Football League. Making three starts and scoring once he was not retained after six players were asked to terminate their contracts due to the club’s parlous financial state.

Frank returned disillusioned to Whishaw.
